I mean, the moon is obviously self-illuminated (and thus can't be shadowed), since sunlight can't reach it, as the world is an infinite plane. Posted by Dalunatic October 13, 2011 at 11:15 am. Report Abuse It has to be 'made of blocks' either way, because the default texture pack is 16x. Square or round is a question of style.

Report Abuse the slimeballs, snowballs, ender eyes,ender pearls, apples, golden apples, clay, etc. are all not squares. and if the moon was made of cubes then it would be round from a distance anyways.
