Posted by Fletcher 1 minute ago. Since the minecraft world has no curvature, the moon and sun have to be square in order for minecraft to be a logically self-consistent universe. If the sun or moon were round in minecraft, then gravitational interactions with a flat surfaced minecraft world would rip the world apart. Source: University Physics Student.
