You guys realized that the ground isn't a flat plane, right? Why should the moon be a giant cube? Assuming it's the same way as the overworld, it would look "round" from the earth. It ain't gonna be a circle, it's gonna be a blocky shape, just like everything else is.

    Overworld IS a flat plane, go to creative and fly under bedrock however I still vote round because it isnt real round its more compass, bucket, ender pearl, diamond round

Definitely square, nothing else is round, why should the moon be?

it will change the look and feel of minecraft. Remeber it's a 8 bit game

    yes I can clearly remember the rule that says that everything in 8-bit games should be squares and that circles are horbidden

The style of Minecraft is unique. What makes it unique is the blocky look. The moon (and sun) would look all wrong round, and I fear to make it "fit" you may have to round everything off, and then Minecraft would lose is charm entirely.

    Nothing is going to be circular, it's still made of pixels/voxels. Stop whining about the "style" of minecraft, I believe a blocky-round moon will be better.

      The round moon looks very nice. But the square moon goes with the overall aesthetic of the game. Perhaps he could cube the moon.
