Ok, so.. um... how long till Notch declares this a deadlock... because. it's pretty much there.  (I like the Option 4 idea, though I still wish Notch would just go with his gut on these things.) Report Abuse ok, honestly my first thought was round, but if you think about it, what else in the game is round.. maybe just the tops of trees? well anyways, next point - the clouds are square, youd have to make clouds rounded and what not if you did the sun and the moon and then what next? - next point - you can mod in a round moon/sun if you really want a round sun or moon - my buddy has a realistic sun and the majoras mask moon in his.. looks pretty sweet, anyways point is, you can mod it. im going to have to go with square to keep minecraft from becoming a jumble of patchwork styles. As long as the files will scale to size like they currently do (this allows HD sun/moon), i prefer the round. Come on the moon phases could have such cool effects! Square moon is kind of... unsettling

I don't see how it matters much as there'll likely be a Painterly pack option for the moon phases, Once it's implemented. As per usual with most of the updates. Those guys been busy. I like Square myself, I usually use the 'square' one with the three creeper faces in it, And the 'exotic cubic pulsar' sun becasue it's SQUARE! With PULSAR! It's mad!
