Are you surprised that somebody finally snapped and attacked a group of Muslims near a mosque?

I am surprised because there is no movement or group or sense of belonging behind a lone revenge attack. It feels obvious now in hindsight, but it wasn't before or otherwise there would have been precautions near mosques. Is anyone surprised that a newly clad tower block went up in flames, or were you expecting it?

Does "surprised it's taken this long" count as a yes or a no?

That's a "no". But good question.

I voted YES, surprised. I thought we indigenous folk were above their level.

I'd be surprised if there weren't mental health issues, but that may be just the case here.

These things happen, like the murder of Jo Cox and that Polish guy, when you stir up the mud at the bottom of the pond. OTOH, there are so many lovely votes to be had from the xenophobes (or, as DBCR would have it, the Fascists). I note that the brown skin=member of a terrorist organisation, white skin=lone wolf rule is being followed, though.

No, of course not. Violence breeds violence, and innocent people get targeted for their race/religion, that is the history of the world.
How we respond is the question. For the lowest of the low, just look at the Daily Mail, rather than calling this the terrorist that he clearly is, they call him a 'white van man' who targeted Muslim's outside a Mosque 'where Abu Hamza once preached'.
In fact Hamza was removed from there in 2005 and the Mosque has new owners who have been praised for attacking extremism, but no mention of that.
You would think for a paper that once supported Hitler that they might be less inclined to cast aspersions based on past indiscretions.

I was referring to the DM's abysmal initial response not the media in general, even today they can only bring themselves say 'terrorist' in quotation marks.
      Pathetic.

No not surprised, but (assuming it turns out to be a genuine attack) then it's handed the enemy or rather their MSM cheerleaders something to throw in our faces when the next one of theirs has 'mental issues', and the bloke has done us no favours.
Like that bloody tower last week, the situation is approaching tinder box.
