I vote Arin, because Jon had so many holes in his argument. Arin wouldn't have had an advantage, plus it doesn't matter what game they were playing.

Plus, Jon isn't usually a good sport with this stuff. Look at their Space Jam video. Jon asks Arin how to do actions, and Arin tells him. Although, I, and about half the comment section, though Arin would get revenge for Guts, he didn't. He clearly doesn't hold a grudge, and is more charitable than Jon.

I vote for Jon, but my sister said she voted for Arin because of his Muhammed Ali thing. My response was as follows:
"It was a bit unfair, but still, they played it before. Had they not played it before, then Jon would've been the dick, but they played it, they saw what they had to do, Arin had plenty of opportunities to push buttons on the controller (not once but twice for a solid 6 minutes when you add them together) to see what worked. He does ####ing Sequilitis for ####'s sake, he talked about it for 20 damn minutes in Megaman about how game makers think you're stupid and you have to learn by playing.
Applying that to the whole boxing thing, had they been boxing before and Jon was punching him in real boxing form (but not hard like Muhammed Ali, just a fun game), Arin would've figured out 'Oh, I have to punch you and block your hits.'"

I voted for Arin because I like a challenge, and there's no challenge in playing a crippled opponent. I'd have told him.

Jon has to be right. They're both learning the game together, it's no ones responsibility to tell the other of any new found strategies.

Sorry, gotta side with Arin.

I wouldn't find it so easy to side with Arin if Jon didn't get so very very butthurt every single time he is ####ing losing any games

Well, they're both right, and neither of them is right.

In the context of Game Grumps, and good sportsmanship, Arin is right. Jon should have shared the basic knowledge that he obtained by "figuring it out," to even the odds a little bit.

If this were in a different setting, say, a professional "blind game competition" or something, then Jon would be 100% right in what he did.

So they're both right, and both wrong. Basically what it boils down to: Jon is not a very good sport.

Arin is right, Jon was beating Arin by at least 10 points by the time Arin had asked how to play, If Jon were a good sport he'd gladly share information on how to play and enjoy the game since he was already in the lead

jon had an advantage, but it was a FAIR advantage. he had no obligation to share the things he learned about the controls during the gameplay. that would be like playing a race through Mario and telling your opponent about shortcuts and secrets as you found out about them.
if he had told arin how to play right, it would have made him a good sport though.

No. It's like playing Mario Kart and not telling your friend which button accelerates, as landing on the platform is a crucial part of the game.

No. It's like picking up a game and both of you blindly playing it as a competion hence why it's called Game Grumps VS

Arin is right. Jon is constantly butt hurt and there is no reason he couldn't have helped with the controls....

Jon is right. As the 50% of you are saying. They had equal time to learn and Jon just picked it up faster.

Jon was right. They both started with the same knowledge (in this case... none), and Jon figured out how to do it correctly while Arin didn't.

The purpose of the competition inherent in Game Grumps Vs hinges on the idea of the Grumps playing against one another to see who is better at the game (or in the case of the Mario Party games... who is luckier)

If Jon had told Arin it would have been like cheating, as they both had the same amount of time to figure out the controls, and Arin would be getting a free pass whereas Jon had to actually try and figure it out himself.
