No tax dollars should be spent on pathways. That is not the role of Township government.

Boy, you sure can tell the objective of the person who wrote this poll!
Polls that are written to produce predetermined results are.... useless.

Loading up the kids and the bikes and driving to the park because you can't bike in your own neighborhood, or bike to the park seems totally absurd.
Trails build community, and support community health and welfare. Homes with trail connections even sell for more!
Hamburg has a head start on us all with the lakeland trail, enjoyed by many. Green Oak is working on their trail system to connect the Lakeland Trail to South Lyon, Island Lake and Kensington parks and the city of Brighton. South Lyon's trail system connects its residents to the surrounding parks and Oakland County's extensive trail system.
Let's get in gear! There's funding available from DNR, MDOT, Safe Paths to Schools, and more.
Lets get in gear, and build a more enjoyable, better connected community!

Brighton Township Personnel are delusional.

They seem to be on the verge of defaulting on their $13 million sewer bond - $2000 per household - but insist on whistling past the financial graveyard, with more dubious spending proposals.

If the detached nutcases that run this township want to build a pathway it should called the Pitchfork Pathway and lead right to the steps of Township Hall.

Wake up, Brighton Township...there are thieves among us.

I see so many people attempting to be environmentally friendly, fit, social, by running, walking, biking in our community. Unfortunately they are often putting their lives in danger because they are forced to walk along side of our busy roads. Not to mention the intolerance of people in their vehicles who would rather run someone over in a hurry, then be safe and patient. We need paths in this community!

I neither want them or see a value for them in the community that we have had over the past 20 years.

I they are put in let the folks that want them fund them. STOP THE SOCIALIST BEHAVIORS of the new administration.

If you have them YOU take care of them.
