And I'm also more than suspicious about Speaker Martin's role in the raid on Green's office.

Does anyone believe a single word that Gordon Brown and his henchmen utter? I hope not!

You only have to remember the promise of a referendum on the EU constitution con to answer the question whether Brown and Smith knew about Green's arrest.

Brown's claims and statements are invariably wholly unreliable - no more boom and bust, WMD justifies the Iraq war, abolition of the 10P tax band effects, and so on and so on. " I was not told beforehand that the police would arrest Damian Green, MP ". He tells us that no Minister had prior information. More Boom and Bust fantasy, more WMD hocus pocus, more 10P effects nonsense.

I hope Brown's obvious lie that he didn't know in advance about Green's arrest will bring him down in the same way that Nixon's lies over Watergate finished his political career.

S'obvious! Plod would not have moved to arrest an opposition front bencher or to raid Palace of Westminster office without a say-so from very high up.
