"Will Sarah Palin help McCain's campaign?"

HAHAHA I love the "typical" Republican response - you are SO predictable. Your focus is so narrow. You are making an assumption that I am a liberal Democrat. I am NOT a Democrat, and I am liberal on some things, conservative on others. Actually, Ann Coulter would be the definition of abrasive and arrogant dismissiveness. You are being dismissive by making sweeping generalizations and lumping people into "liberal"/conservative, Democrat/Republican categories. This isn't about Republican or Democrat. "Country First" - remember, dear fellow AMERICAN? That is your Republican slogan. That includes everyone. I truly believe we all want the same thing. We may disagree on how to get there. The last eight years were disastrous in many ways, and if we have another eight like those - no matter who wins the election - we all lose - Republicans, Democrats, Green Party, Independents, etc.

In fairness, most people - even the commentators covering the announcement - knew nothing about Sarah Palin. So that really is no argument at all, especially since she is totally untried in National and international politics. A Governor with less than two years under her belt, former member of the local PTA - give me a break.

        Kick,

I hope you don't really believe what you are typing. At this point, Palin is just one Berlin speech shy of Obama's foreign policy experience, and he is at the TOP of the Dem ticket.

She was the Mayor os a town with less people than my Church...wouldn't call that real executive experience. Also she doesn't even have enough education to be a school principal. These are Scary Facts!!

Do you think she has even been to Berlin? And that still begs the National experience part of the equation. The interesting thing to me is that if the shoe was on the other foot, and she was Obama's choice for veep, the same people who are singing her praises now would be skewering her for these very same reasons.

She's a gun toting redneck. Biden will eat her lunch in the debates. Love her or not, she doesn't even have two full years as Governor - hardly Presidential material.

While I think the VP debate matters squat in terms of the election, I predict that Biden will come off looking like a self-important windbag (I know, what are the odds of THAT happening?) whereas the predominant reaction to Palin will be the regret that she is not at the top of the ticket.
