Have most of you been asleep for the last eight years? Bush has been a walking disaster. W's lack of intellectual curiosity/intelligence has led us into an unnecessary war that we can't get out of. McCain's strong suit is his "foreign policy" credentials? McCain doesn't know the difference between Sunni and Shiite. That easy to learn information is vital to the whole conflict. The rest of the world is appalled by our lack of concern for their welfare. Obama has a degree in foreign relations, a brilliant curious mind and represents the most important change in our lifetime - getting rid of the policies of failure that the whole world has had to endure for almost a decade.

    Thank you. Someone who can look through the political haze and see what has become of what's left of this country. McCain would be a proponent of these same disastrous and bankrupting (both morally and economically) policies.

      Are you unaware of the fact that 550 tons of "Yellow Cake" was found in Iraq and just last month was shipped to Canada in over 3000 sealed containers [you can google it up] Our country was attacked and 3000 people were murdered, doesn't that mean anything to you? We haven't been attacked since that time, can't you figure our why?

        You might want to google up your own facts, also
        1) NONE of the 9/11 terrorists were from Iraq
        2) Two things coinciding does not imply causation. We hadn't been attacked before that time, either - it's like George HW Bush taking credit for the fall of the Berlin wall - it happened during his term, but there were a lot of factors that were coming together over decades to make it happen. A) your argument is not provable; B) there is no data to support it; C) We could be attacked again - at that point your argument would mean nothing D) A logical extension would be: as long as we're at war we won't be attacked - ludicrous.

      Barock Obama openly subscribed to the Ariel Odinga Policies set out in Odinga's campaign for President of Kenya. Odinga's Orange Democratic Movement Platform stressed adopting Islamic Policies and Q'uran Principles. Obama traveled with Odinga, made speaches for Odinga and Obama told his Kenyan audiences that Kenya must support the Islamic Platform and Odinga, 'We must have change," Obama said over and over. Sound familiar? As for Obama's degree in foreign relations, so does Osama Bin Ladin.

I would vote for a black lesbian inexperienced candidate if she had the character and politics of a Thatcher. When I look at the three Senators running for POTUS and Veep, their only qualifications seem to be the ability to make speeches.

    I am shocked and horrified by the blatant and nasty racism and homophobia as well as more subtle but equally egregious sexism in the above comment.

    Apparently the things that make a person the least electable are black race, female sex, and homosexual sexual orientation. The statement is that if someone were to have these worst-of-worst qualities, being a Thatcher would trump the issue. Is this sort of comment allowable on a forum like this? I shudder.
