Just as cold is the absence of heat and darkness is the absence of light, evil is the absence of God in men's hearts. What is love unless one has the ability to not love? I believe that all the bad things in the world happen because of sin. God allows sin to persist because he gives us man a choice. I also think that God wants us to realize what a terrible thing sin really is.

If you are wandering about the Black Death, it was even caused by people being filthy, and not living according to how He told us to live.

As for us electing Obama, God will allow us to reap the very seeds that we have sown. I believe that right now is a very good time to start trusting in God.
