The consequences of Peak Oil globally are foundational to all technological innovation and areas of economic growth.

Simply. No Cheap Oil and No other viable alternatives spells doom for virtually every other area of innovation listed in the above poll.

I was going to say "other" and recommend reducing tyranny and promoting liberty but reducing poverty is either a necessary precondition for expanding liberty or at least a similar process requiring similar actions so I picked that.

How about actually completing the OTEC designs that the DOE FINISHED in 1981? (look it up, it's on the internet)

hmm.. ammonia for fertilizer (hunger solution), incredible electricity output via methanol production (economic growth and we can hey! use trees (go figure) to sequester the CO2 since farmland isn't being used for frickin biofuels (dumb idea from the start))

ocean thermal energy conversion. fully researched in the 1980's with the goals that we have today.

why isn't it actually produced today.. we already spent the money doing the research. the documents still exist. the engineering was viable and sound back in the day, and still is.

thanks for listening.
