I would have to say that its a tie between High Heat, Heart of a Champion, and Painting the Black. I love how he writes the book and it feels like you right there watching it happen. It was sad but it created apicture in my head and it showed what DWI can do to a person. I,ve always loved sport books but they are even better with life experiences too. The ending was exceptional. In a couple years I'll be a teenager and the story told me what not to do. Heart of the Champion seemed like one of the most true to life books I've ever read. Along with the Matt Christopher book Ice Magic it is one of the best sports books I've ever read. From Keirstan on October 15, 2008 at 6:49 pm. I really, really liked High Heat. It was probably my favorite out of all of them. I'm glad that you write a lot more baseball books because that's my favorite sport to watch. I really think that you should work on that volleyball book though. Volleyball is my favorite sport to play and I really think it would make a great book.
