He comes off as such a caracature that it doesn't matter what Obama says. I'm wondering if either candidate has anything new to say -- too bad we can't give "campaign 08" low approval ratings like we can congress From Ziv on October 7, 2008 at 9:39 pm. No reliance on 'um' or 'my friends' to cover a lack of knowledge. Why do I have to choose between two losers? There are at least 10 governors that are better qualified than either of these guys. IP Logged, 71.34.68.x Report Abuse Well, I proposed a "survivor style" primary where, instead of voting FOR one candidate in a crowded field and ending up with the guy who managed to get 22% early on compared to another candidate's 21%, we vote AGAINST candidates, eliminating one at a time, until only the strongest two remain. Face it, in the GOP primary, McCain would not have lasted past round two in such a scenario. He would have been the second one out the door after Ron Paul. Instead, we ended up with a "winner" that 3 out of 4 primary voters voted against, simply because there were seven other people splitting up those 3 votes.
