I have all of the time in the world to write and I write a lot. My problem is not getting started. I do outlines, character sketches, plot outlines and notes galore...but when I get to the middle I get --- I dont know, something happens and suddenly I NEED to start a new story, a new idea hits me over the head like a hammer. I have never finished any of the 7 writing projects I have started. I must learn how to finish a first draft. I dont get bored with the current story, I guess I feel like the new idea cannot wait. Help! Am I afraid to finish a writing project? What's wrong with me as a writer? Thanks for listening.
