XD The only problem I have is in romance writing...XD From Deb on June 24, 2009 at 7:00 pm. IP Logged, 71.231.44.x Report Abuse I'm also surprised that so many of these topics are in the cast off pile; I actually saw more of them that interested me than in the maybe's pile...and I only got one choice From Tracy H on June 24, 2009 at 4:33 pm. IP Logged, 173.17.59.x Report Abuse I'm surprised so many of these topics are endangered as I see so many of these problems crop up time and time again in my own work and when critiquing others. Particularly pacing and writing natural dialogue that performs more than one function. Actually, if you combine all the topics that are related to pacing, you have more than the 75 or so votes needed to save the module. I know you have to specialize somewhat, but several of these topics seemed quite similar so maybe they didn't get enough votes because they were spread too thin. :] From lw on June 24, 2009 at 3:54 pm. IP Logged, 65.98.140.x Report Abuse I hope you don't drop this third modul. There are several things I would like to opportunity to learn. lw From Splatter on June 24, 2009 at 3:50 pm. IP Logged, 12.2.137.x Report Abuse The Pacing and Dialogue options both appealed to me... in part because I can go forever before stopping myself and saying "wait, wait - has anyone said a single word yet???" From Bill on June 24, 2009 at 2:46 pm. IP Logged, 4.231.233.x Report Abuse All the items about pacing sound interesting to me. Regardliss of genre, must hook the reader emotionally and keep pages turning, plenty of suspense, an occasional twist, and movement. So anything to do with pacing is something I'd like to learn more about. From Jeff Newcomb on June 24, 2009 at 2:23 pm. IP Logged, 71.48.42.x Report Abuse I have a great, 120k word story waiting on my muse to pass beyond "preface mode," so I chose 'what or why.' I simply must introduce the story in some way but I'll be darned if my muse doesn't keep giving away the plot... If nobody votes to save that module, can you make it available as an ala carte that I can purchase separately? I just want to live... From Kimberley Cote on June 24, 2009 at 2:05 pm. IP Logged, 76.94.76.x Report Abuse Pacing and Genre... I have no idea what genre I'm writing! LOL From Amazing Blair on June 24, 2009 at 1:54 pm. IP Logged, 65.12.142.x Report Abuse You had two similar choices: 'Conquer Pacing and Action' and 'Understand Pacing and Action'. The latter matched sequentially with the the problem of the "infodump" in writing, so I chose it. Let me learn restraint, by all means! From The Pencil Neck on June 24, 2009 at 1:45 pm.
