"Independent" says, "How could anyone say that the Republican convention was classy? Are you kidding me? They took every opportunity to belittle the ideals and values of Obama using distortions of the facts and out right lies."

How could anyone say that the Republican convention was classy? Are you kidding me? They took every opportunity to belittle the ideals and values of Obama using distortions of the facts and out right lies. Its cool to have different opinions but to say that the other candidate shouldn't even be running for president is because he doesn't put his 'country first' is bullshit, vague and not true. If their platform is too throw out the 'big government liberals'.. who the hell as been running this country into the ground for the last 8 years?....The republican party is outdated and having a serious bout of amnesia.

We know exactly who is running the country and it appears to be the media.
Since when is using Obama's own statements and plans and attack on him? Since when is Obama's ties to the Nation of Islam, Communists, Socialists something that can not be discussed? An attack is when you say something that isn't true not using their own record. Lies and distortions? Do a little research and track back the ties to Davis and Ayers and the other vile friends and supporters. The only bullshit is coming from the moveon, dailykos, and the so called "media". Get a grip on reality and study a little history while you're at it. Once you have done that and have sobered up let me know.

Nancy Pelosi appears to be in control.

Speaking of "wind" Ted Kennedy and John Kerry (who wont let them put windmills in view of their respective mansions).

Nancy Pelosi has bought stock in T. Boones Pickens wind scheme. So that's why Blinky the Speaker wont have an up-or-down vote on drilling our own domestic resources.

Any bets on how long the media will ignore this blatant corruption?

And I'll also bet with some digging, you could probably find a whole lot more connections between Democrats and that alternate, renewable energy source boondoggle we've had dangled in front of us the last forty years.

The Democrat "leadership" is in the pocket of Big Wind and holding the country hostage for the sake of power and politics!

We've had enough. Thanks but no thanks to Obama, Pelosi and Reid.

We KNOW who bought off the elected members of Congress! Heaven FORBID! We (mere citizens) might actually LEARN who has been CORRUPTED and is engaging in illegal activity! But, dont worry, none of the corrupt Congressional types will be held ACCOUNTABLE for their illegal activity!

The Republican convention by far. It was much more classy and more upbeat. We were not barraged with an endless group of people all taking to the microphone to spout some sort of anti Obama rhetoric like the Dems did with all of their anti Bush tirades.
The Republicans reacted to the hurricanes admirably while the Dems were hoping for even worse destruction to derail the convention.
All in all the Republicans were a far classy act.

The Republican only because of the anticipation of how Palin was going to do. Since she "blasted it out of the park" and helped to energize a lethargic base, I had to vote "R".

I think the Dems probably had a better convention in terms of organization, coverage, and production value, but I think the Republicans gain more political advantage from the convention because the candidates connected with people even without the world's most spectacular convention.

Simple decision...listen to Palin and, if you must, listen to Biden or Obama or both.
