I think beans binding is a big step forward in rich client swing development and support it's further development.
Just thinking about wiring events between a bunch of components to synchronize state between my model and view gives me the shivers...

Hi!

My projects mostly depend heavily on Beans Binding (JSR-295). At the moment i'm a little bit concerned about the Future of Beans Binding.

How do you guys think about BB's future?

regards,
christian

Beans Binding Support is even considered as a major reason why to choose the NetBeans Form Editor over other tools such as JFormDesigner in our project.

Hi,
your poll should contain an additional question:
- Not yet, but I'm planning to do so.

It's an interesting feature and think the above choice applies to many developers.

I didn't use a user name and login when I set it up. I don't think I can edit it now. If you plan on using it please vote yes.

I use it in the https://netbeans-opengl-pack.dev.java.net/ in some places. It is not the solution for every kind of binding but its quite useful for the remaining 80%.

Many users need and want a framework like BeansBinding. Currently this is the one and only framework in NetBeans to connect easily persistent data form databases to swing components. And BeansBinding is a good framework to automate RAD tools in NetBeans.

Although I don't do much Swing this is IMHO one of the greatest feature that NB provide as a RAD tool. Can't be removed unless something better is proposed as an alternative.
