I read mostly graphic novels though not from the bookstore, more likely bought from the publisher's website (like Fantagraphics or Drawn and Quarterly or some Euro site). But I checked that one anyway. Also some indies issues and every once in awhile from the 2 corps. The movies are mostly uninteresting except for Clowes-based ones.

There's no option for "all of the above." I'm a comics omnivore.

I find it interesting that, although Marvel has more comics in the top 10 and 20 on the charts, they are effectively in last place on this poll. I am a Marvel fan myself, probably better than 90% of the comics I read. I think this poll reflects that your readers may be a bit more serious, or it may reflect the type of stories you cover. I do notice a lack of Marvel stories in your blog(not a crticism, just the way I see it. There are lots of other places to get Marvel stories)

Naturally, MUCH more data will need to be gathered to create "Dewar's Profiles"-type, er, profiles. But it's a good idea. I do suggest that "Beaters" not be used to name fans of the column, though. At least, back in this correspondent's youth, that had negative and embarrassing connotations. I suggest "Beatniks."

Oh, was that for real? I thought this was an example! Omygod, I'm so embarrassed - I've got a hanging cyber chad here!!
