I was thinking about voting for McCain because of his experience, but I've done a lot of thinking and researching and Obama seems like the better choice. John McCain wants to take Women's Rights away. He voted AGAINST having birth control covered by health insurance and didn't have an explanation as to why Viagra should be covered. Also, America is supposed to be the land of the free. Is it not a woman's freedom to do what she wants with her body?? Obama may not have the experience people want, but take the time to research his views and his policies. If you're going to vote for McCain just because Obama is black, don't vote at all. The reason high gas prices is the democrats blocked drilling for oil in the US and off our shores. They will not allow new refineries or nuclear plant to be built. Conservatives are for a flat tax or a consumption tax that will lower taxes for people. Drilling at home for oil, increasing nuclear power. Going to Iraq and freeing the Iraqi people from Saddam was a net positive for the world. We also have to look at the Supreme court. The reason the democrats blocked drilling for oil in US is because there was nothing that included finding an alternative fuel source. Bush said opening federal lands off the U.S. coast -- where oil drilling has been banned by both a presidential executive order and a congressional moratorium -- could yield about 18 billion barrels of oil. That would meet current U.S. consumption for about 2 1/2 years, but it would likely take a decade or more to find the oil and produce it. Those dems are crazy, 2 years is a long time.(sarcasm) Instead of wasting time and money drilling, let's use what we have and find an alternative fuel source in the process. Most, not all, of you republicans are only interested in the NOW. Always looking for a quick fix. Obviously the quick fix hasn't benefited the country.
