I put none, but nearly put child benefit. I don't like means testing as its open to fraud and costs a lot to administer. Remember student grants and that son of the rich business man who got a full one because income was paid as share dividends. Give everyone child benefit then tax it as income.

I agree with Lola, either don't provide them at all, or make them available to all FOC. Means testing, as you rightly point out, is simply "lefty jealousy bollocks".

I voted None as none, on the basis that none of those 'should' be directly state funded or subsidised in the first place except the fire and rescue service(IMHO). The only thing that might be acceptable would vouchers (i.e. transfer payments).

    Lola, yes, hooray for vouchers, but you can means test those as well.

      You can Means Test vouchers. But I wouldn't. Just treat them, in effect, as part of a CI.
