"If Fred Thompson endorses John McCain, what impact would that have on your vote?"

I am a vet with service in at least 5 conflicts since 1986. McShamnesty will NEVER get my vote. If he is the nominee it will destroy the Republican party. Many of us will simply stay home and we will have a democrap President and possibly a veto proof majority for dems in congress. Florida please end McShamnesty's run!

I will never vote for McCain....I'll write in someone if I have to..never would I consider McCain...if Fred throws in with him, I'll be terribly disappointed in him...but I guarantee McCain will NEVER get a vote from me.

If Thompson backs John McStain I will be looking for a refund on my contributions to his campaign.

McCain is a senator from my state. He is not my senator. Jon Kyl is my senator. I am retired military and I appreciate McCain's POW record but I vote for what a candidate for what he supports. I like what Thompson has to say and I will vote for him if he is on the ballot. I will never vote for McCain after the gang of 14, McCain-Feingold, his dalings with Kennedy and his attempt to give amnesty to the citizens of another country who have overrun us.

Mr. McCain is my Senator. The "squishy middle" he represents has destroyed Arizona's Goldwater Republican party in just the last few years. Republicans here may loose the legislative branch here for the first time in decades. If McCain wins the nomination, the national Reaganesque Conservative party is gone! We will be exiled again - perhaps another 40 years or more wandering in the wilderness. I would like to see a Romney/Thompson combination. If not, Romney is our only hope.

None. I would write in Alan Keyes.

Ya know JimP, being a nam vet myself, and respect McCain for that reason, I'm in the same boat as you. I think Fred should see what super Tuesday brings, and then decide from there. One thing I'm sure of about Fred is his consistancy of position, along with consistant position after vote tallies. There's something about that, has the others move places regularly.

Sounds like a lot of people prefer Hillary or Obama with a Dem majority in the House and Senate to McCain under any circumstances. McCain has an 83% record of voting conservative, do you really think that is worse than having Hillary or Obama? The Dems are not this dumb.
