If he does, I hope that he will not back McCain who, as Senator, has exhibited his disregard for the wishes of the American people. Surely Fred wouldn't betray his supporters by throwing his support behind a man who cares more about illegal aliens than he does for legitimate American citizens. From OCBill on January 20, 2008 at 8:32 pm. IP Logged, 68.225.232.x Report Abuse Never Mitt. At first temptation, his liberal tendencies came forward, promising government intervention in the free market to buy votes in Michigan. His answer to everything is to call a meeting to find out what he should do. Sounds too much like Bill Clinton all over again. BTW, Bill Clinton ran as a conservative Democrat in 1992. Didn't the Govt intervene during the Crysler crisis? Romney has proven to be a very smart businessman, and him amassing millions proves it. He also turned the Olympics crisis around. Moreover, he is not a Washington insider and to me thats a plus too.

We need Fred to side with Mitt. From Max on January 20, 2008 at 8:04 pm. IP Logged, 64.12.117.x Report Abuse Fred must stay in the race. McCain is out,The Huckster is out,Romney is questionable, and so is Guliana. If we are going to get a democrat I think I'll vote for Hillary. Just kidding. I may just stay home. Not Kidding. From Kathleen Wimmer on January 20, 2008 at 7:45 pm. IP Logged, 68.187.240.x Report Abuse I would be greatly disappointed in Fred Thompson if were to endorse McCain. I can't see how he could in good conscience do such a thing. From Tom on January 20, 2008 at 7:45 pm. IP Logged, 70.185.199.x Report Abuse I support Fred all the way. I don't see him throwing in with McCain, ever. If at the end of our convention McCain is the winner, then I would have to grudgingly vote for him. Any Republican, which excludes Huckachuckee, would be a better choice than Hillary Billery and Barry Hussein. I'm a Naval Aviator, Vietnam vet.
