"If Fred Thompson endorses John McCain, what impact would that have on your vote?"

I chose 'no impact' because that's the closest, but it would have an impact - on my impression of Thompson.

Nothing, however, could induce me to vote for McCain.

Won't vote McCain no matter who endorses him, anyone who endorses McCain, it will only effect my opinion of the endorser (negatively).

"With Fred, it's all or nothing"... no longer will I take the GOP/Demon-crat "lesser of two evils" (i.e., Bush I and Bush II vs. Clinton, Kerry, etc.) No Rudy, certainly no John McCain. If not Fred, where will we Reagan Republican real conservatives go? I'll just write in FRED THOMPSON. My hope and prayer is that FRED will "ride his Red Pickup Truck" all the way to a brokered GOP convention -- our last good hope for a true conservative to ride that truck to the White House. God help us: no more "Hope" from Arkansas. We say what Razorback hope brought us.
God SAVE America!

I'd be real interested in finding out the answer to this question, because in my mind, the only rationale for Fred continuing is to keep siphoning off votes from Huckabee, as both Huckabee and McCain thought he did in SC. I'm just not sure that an internet poll like this means anything, because it seems that Fred's online support is vastly different from the mindset of those voting in the actual primaries. I think the same people that are overwhelmingly picking Romney in this poll are the same ones that were overwhelmingly picking Fred by overwhelming margins in the Hot Air and Michelle Malkin polls a couple weeks ago, and we simply don't seem to represent the voting public at large.

NEVER vote for McCain. Looks like the Dems will win this race. As a conservative, I have no where to go. Makes so very sad for my country and we all will have to live with the choices made by the wrong people.

Hotter than Hell freezing over... I'd push for a brokered convention, to let the RINO's get their act together. Put the most conservative ticket on the dais and roll the dice. I'm still pushing the Gonzo ticket. Thompson/Hunter. It'd be Hunter/Thompson but I may have to wait for what I want. Secure (armed if necessary) border, not quite Fortress America but damn ready. Drill where there's oil (but waiting for the car that drives itself when I want it to and runs on water). Trust the people, the Constitution as written, and God Bless us all.
