From ExSoldier on January 22, 2008 at 12:23 pm. I was stunned when McCain came out in support of the Second Amendment only HOURS after the rampage at Virginia Tech. Very few folks remember when he was pushing for an all out assault weapons BAN. However I would vote for McCain if he made Huckabee his veep. Huck was endorsed by Chuck Norris. That made me sit up and take notice. I really took a hard look at him. Sure he's done some slightly liberal stuff as a Governor, but overall, I can't fault his judgment. Remember, when the Bogeyman goes to bed at night he first checks his closet to see if CHUCK NORRIS is hiding there! From Bob Honiker on January 22, 2008 at 8:27 am. NO RINOS! I've voted for the lesser evil quite enough! From The Big Kahuna on January 22, 2008 at 12:32 am. Now, now Mittheads, it will all be over soon and you can go back to watching reruns of Mchales Navy. Too bad real Americans didn't want to drink Hugh's Kool Aid and vote for "the empty suit." So sad, makes me want to, you guessed it, "weep." From Martin in reply to The Big Kahuna on January 22, 2008 at 2:03 am. I've supported and donated to Fred's campaign. Although the GOP candidates, minus Ron Paul, are light years better than any Democrat, I cannot and will not support John McCain. It pains me to say that about a fellow Naval Officer, but his actions as a Senator, have been anything but conservative. Remember McCain/Feingold(sponsored), Illegal Immigrant Amnesty(supported),and President Bush's tax cuts(voted against)? However, if he should win the nomination, I will rally to him and vote GOP. The thought of Hillary Clinton, Barack Obama or John Edwards chills my blood at the thought of calling any of them Commander in Chief. From tedi on January 21, 2008 at 10:50 pm. The pressing issue for me is national security. If I am denied my beloved Fred, the other strong leader is Rudy. Although not perfect on many issues, Rudy understands jihad and is the most capable to keep America safe. McCain is awful on the border issue and the Huckster even worse. Romney great on the economy but that is secondary. From Doreen on January 21, 2008 at 9:40 pm. I would vote for Mitt Romney, I don't trust Mccain or Huckabee, obviously I will not sit out the election, I will vote on election day, but I would only trust Romney if Fred drops out.
