IP Logged, 68.89.95.x Report Abuse What's the point of focusing our efforts on local state elections when both of the 2 major political parties insist on concentrating all political power into Washington, D.C.? For example, they have gotten local and state governments addicted to the drug of federal funding, then when they decide to do something different that D.C. disagrees with, they will pull the rug out from in under them by cutting their funds...while still taxing them at the same time.
From Susan on January 20, 2008 at 4:45 pm. IP Logged, 72.24.27.x Report Abuse I will not support any of those candidates. From Linda on January 20, 2008 at 4:43 pm. IP Logged, 67.183.131.x Report Abuse I softly settled on Mitt for my second choice but having watched and listened to him in Michigan and SC, I decided he was just another Dole. But there done that. I think I'll just skip this year for the first time in 40 yrs. You really should have a category for no second choice. From Dan on January 20, 2008 at 4:41 pm. IP Logged, 66.75.56.x Report Abuse I am a Fred head in mourning. Fred I am very sad to say is done. S. Carolina was must win for Fred. I am a realist and simply don't see it happening for Fred now. I am desperate to stop McLame, HRC, Obama, and Huckabee (in that order). Like all Fred heads I find a lot to dislike about Romney but must admit that despite MSM spin to the contrary he is the closest to Fred of anyone else. I seriously doubt whether some of these so called Fred supporters here who say "write in Fred" or "damn the torpedos and vote for Fred not matter what." I sense a Ron Paul or even McLame plot. At this point McLame benefits most from the votes Fred continues to get while losing. I say this as one who has supported Fred from the begging. Wrote e-mails urging him to run. And, donated $100 after the S. Carolina debate (all I could afford and my first political contribution of my life). I will be supporting Romney now no matter what. I pray for 4 things now. 1) others see the cold hard political reality as I do and move to Romney, 2) the Romney people are decent enough to recognize this, 3) Romney has the brains and decency to pick Fred as his VP, and 4)as Pres. Romney sticks to the economy while giving Fred a large amount of free reigns on social and domestic issues. A die hard conservative, patriotic (former military-current law enforcement), realistic, father of 3, who is now moving on to Romney. PS for you lame brains who doubt me post your e-mail and I'll sent you the thank you e-mail from the Fred campaign thanking me for the donation. From Andrew on January 20, 2008 at 4:38 pm. IP Logged, 70.245.154.x Report Abuse I'll be frank- I don't like Romney. He's too slick and I fear he will be another George W. Bush. And I'm not afraid to admit that I don't want a Mormon in the White House. (And for those of you who say that it is bigotry, let me ask you this: Would you elect a Branch Davidian into the White House?) John McCain is a liberal who hates conservatives. Mike Huckabee has shown his inexperience when it comes to national issues in the past two weeks alone. That, of course, leaves Rudy Giuliani. While his social policy leaves much to be desired, he is fundamentally a problem solver. However, I do think we can hold him accountable on the issues that matter and he will certainly defend himself against the libs. From Landon in reply to Andrew on January 20, 2008 at 7:37 pm. IP Logged, 71.59.224.x Report Abuse Please explain to me how Mormons are anything like Branch Davidians. That comment reeks of ignorance and blind bigotry.
