IF it means 4 years of Hitlery, then so be it. Maybe then the GOP will learn to be a conservative party, not a populist-progressive-liberal-lite party. From Celestina on January 21, 2008 at 8:33 am. IP Logged, 71.197.153.x Report Abuse Romney is a Pro-life in his personal life and has always been... The reason he was pro-choice is because he does not believe in forcing rights upon people... it was not until the day he had to sign something that will destroy millions of unborn into law. He declared he no longer could stomach 'pro-choice' rather than explaining the long way... he said yes he was pro-choice and now he's pro-life. My sister understood him perfectly... I have always been pro-life. My sister is pro-choice (she's a very devout Mormon) She is very against abortion but she does not believe in telling women what to do. That's just like Romney's position. I am against abortion and will tell (push) women to consider adoption, period! That where we differ. All of us do not support or believe in abortion... it's how we see whether women has the right, is where we differ. Back to Romney... He's a PRO-LIFE for heaven's sake, just like my sister. Mitt and Fred both are PRO-LIFERS. The only difference Mitt did not use it on his sleeve, while Fred did. Now both of them are wearing PRO-LIFE on their sleeves now... I hope this will put your thoughts about him being not pro-life to rest. Forget Mormonism (but remember, we are as Christians as anyone else if not more!) From picasso in reply to Celestina on January 21, 2008 at 8:57 am. IP Logged, 68.119.118.x Report Abuse Oh no- I would not say that you are christian by being a mormon. You obviously do not understand the tenents of your "faith" if you say this. I, think it is too bad when anybody of any faith jumps on a wagon and starts preaching what and who they are and they obviously do not know much about their "faith/belief" By the way- what is a "christian" - isn't christian by definition a Christ follow- a disciple of Christ- if so then Joseph Smith and what he teaches has to be thrown out- due in large part because of his teachings and not Christ. Food for thought and before you all start jumping me- study and look beyond the surface of what is said and written by those that are as informed only as much as you are. Read books and papers from the founders and others that are high up and see if it really lines up to a "Christian"- a disiple of Christ.

IP Logged, 75.40.191.x Report Abuse If one worships Christ, depends upon Christ as his savior, endeavors to live according to Christ's teachings, and testifies to the divinity of Christ it seems to me the definition of "Christian" fits. It runs counter to the teachings of Christ to so exclude believers--if there are doctrinal differences between religions then it behooves the "Christians" among us to focus on the commonalities and not the differences--for our own Christian soul's sake and for the sake of the country's future.

From Celestina on January 21, 2008 at 8:24 am. IP Logged, 71.197.153.x Report Abuse I have been reading comments... Writing in Fred Thompson is a poor strategy. He is not electable, sorry. Since the start, Fred's my second choice if Romney does not make it but to this date, it's obvious he is out and that Romney is winning...in term of popular vote, delegates etc etc...more and more Republicans are moving on to him. Please soften your heart and mind, and open up to Romney, you will see him differently. One vote to Fred will go to McCain... strategically speaking. If you do not want McCain in White House, then vote Romney...forget his Mormonism. forget what you thought you knew about Mormonism we are not electing a pastor, but a president right... and I am sure monkeys agree... GO MITT... come on Americans... have heart and vote for Romney. Thanks you will thank yourself for taking my word. I promise you he will surely strive to separate church and state and respect everyone of us as individuals deserving our own rights thats why he want laws to be determined by states not federal, so unlike Huckster and his so-called smoking ban on a federal level! FREDHEADS COME ON AND GO FOR MITT! From Keith on January 21, 2008 at 8:00 am. IP Logged, 74.166.17.x Report Abuse I cannot vote for McCain, no matter what. He is a Dem in Rep suits.
