| "For Fred Supporters: If Fred Thompson drops out of the race, which major candidate would you support?" | |
From Kaitian in reply to Jennifer on January 21, 2008 at 2:41 pm. A) Look in the mirror first before you start spouting it. The newsletters that came out recently by The New Republic had Ron Paul signing these damn papers for more than 2 decades and now he pretends they're not his views anymore? Ya, way to convince me. As well as the fact Ron Paul has catered to Nazi's, 9/11 Truthers, Alex Jones fringe lunatics, and what not. B) The 100K figure is a running joke however he will launch the country into a depression especially the world in general. He claims to be non-interventionalist but he will do much more than that. America's breadbasket has been vital to countries around the world depending on food. Ron Paul has stated positions to renege on obligations that the US have made to such countries even if it means letting countries go into starvation. C) Ron Paul doesn't want to put America back on a sound money footing. He has been constantly pitching scrapping the IRS with nothing to replace the 1 trillion shortfall. Now, you claim the agencies are "unconstitutional" but unfortunately for you, they were approved by Congress and supported by the Supreme Court. You are suggesting that we should scrap the Department of Education and Energy. Which I completely disagree with because the regulatory bodies over energy is extremely important and maintaining interstate commerce regarding energy. Hoover Dam for example falls under Federal review because of the energy it gives out to California while powering Las Vegas on the side. Anyways, there's nothing unconstitutional that you claim by this. The constitution allows the President to create principal officers which forms cabinets. You missed Section 2, clause 1. Way to ace the Constitution. Comment ID: 1200948100; Posted by User Originating from IP Address 76.27.253.x If you believe this posting violates Pollcode's Terms of Service, we want to hear from you.
