| "For Fred Supporters: If Fred Thompson drops out of the race, which major candidate would you support?" | |
From Scott on January 21, 2008 at 11:12 am. There's no way I can support Romney. He double-speaks like the Clintons. Not so long ago, when it fit his purposes, he tried to out-lib Ted Kennedy. He'll say whatever whenever to whomever to accomplish his goal. If he's the nominee in Nov then I stay home from the polls. And by the way, job creation in Mass was terrible while he was Governor. And yes we know you fixed the Olympics Mr Romney but enough of the reminders with the Gold, Silver comparisons. It's not witty. At this point with Hunter long gone and Fred the same, I'm supporting Huckabee. The media say he's wild-eyed because he wants to change the constitution. Well he doesn't want to do it like the liberals- with judges. No he wants to do it thru Congress and as he points out, and the part of the video clip the media have failed to play is that without a Constitutional amendment women would not be able to vote, blacks would not be able to vote and there would still be slavery. Everytime Huckabee opens his mouth, I find myself nodding in agreement. Really my feeling now is if Fred stays in it will be for the sole purpose of helping his buddy from the Senate, McCain- becuase he dilutes the evangelicals vote. One final thought, Huckabee needs to hone his plan for a flat tax and push it hard. Things need to change and I for one would like to see what would happen to our economy if people got to keep their paycheck. Throw in private savings accounts and he'd have a real economic stimulus pkg instead of that thoughtless drivel recently offered up by George W.
