Your argument sounds good until someone asks what you will do for electric power as the sun gets low in the sky and your solar panel powered lights dim. The greatest energy demand is late in the afternoon. Then there are cloudy days. Where are you going to get power to cook if not from storage facilities like Helms. The C3ETP project is exactly what's required to allow us to make more use of solar energy. And wind. And geothermal. All require energy storage.
